INFORMED DELIVERY® INTERACTIVE CAMPAIGNS

MERGE PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS FOR THE WIN

MERGE PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS FOR THE WIN

More content than ever is being consumed on our mobile devices. That’s why the U.S. Postal Service (USPS®) has created Informed Delivery®—a new and innovative feature that makes it easier for campaign managers to integrate physical and digital voter experiences.

Informed Delivery is available to eligible residential consumers and P.O. Box™ users nationwide! According to a survey conducted earlier this year, participants are embracing the program—wholeheartedly. In fact, 95% said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the feature.1

WHAT EXACTLY IS INFORMED DELIVERY®?

Today’s voters have a technology-enabled daily routine. The objective of Informed Delivery is to make mail a part of consumers’ daily digital routines. The same way people check content on social media, news, apps, and emails every day, they are now able to see what’s arriving in their physical mailbox before it gets there.

Informed Delivery users receive digital previews their household’s incoming letter-size mail—via email notifications, an online dashboard, or mobile app—letting them see who it’s for and who sent it.2 You can receive even greater benefits by conducting an Informed Delivery interactive campaign with digitally enhanced elements, providing consumers with an engaging experience.

HOW DO INTERACTIVE CAMPAIGNS WORK?

If your campaign chooses to conduct an Informed Delivery interactive campaign, colorful supplemental content will be shown in users’ Informed Delivery notifications. Simply provide USPS a few campaign elements (such as mailing details, custom images, and a target URL), and Informed Delivery users will be offered the opportunity to engage immediately with your interactive campaign.

USPS provides aggregate data—at the five-digit ZIP Code™ level—to show you what percentage of Informed Delivery users opened emails and clicked on your interactive campaign. If you choose to include a unique URL, you may be able to attribute click-throughs directly to the digital preview.
