Know more.
Do more.

Informed Visibility® Mail Tracking and Reporting is a free tracking service that lets you know when and where your political mail is as it makes its way to voters, providing you with invaluable insights that can help you strategically plan the timing of other cross-channel campaigns to connect with voters more deeply, encourage engagement, and make your impact even more effective.

Why use Informed Visibility®?

Turn passive moments into opportunities: Even as you wait for your mailpiece to reach its destination, you’ll be gaining insights that sharpen your strategy, helping you make an effective impact efficiently.

Track your mailpiece

Know when your mailpiece reaches certain milestones along its journey, from sorting, to en route, and delivery. By tracking every mailpiece of a high-volume shipment, you can gauge the area saturation of your message.

Know your timeline

The time it takes for your mailpiece to reach a doorstep is really the time it takes your message to reach a targeted voter. By determining average transit times for different areas, you can more accurately plan the timeline of each phase of your political campaign.

Coordinate your campaigns

Strategically plan to execute another campaign after most voters have received your mailpiece. During early voting, for example, “mail is frequently used to bridge the gap between when the ballots arrive and TV starts.”2

Boost your performance

When you amplify your message, more people hear it, and interaction across channels increases when more people engage. In fact, 90% of marketing executives say direct mail enhances engagement and conversions across digital channels, boosting performance in email, social media, and online ads.3

The stages of Informed Visibility®

You can gain valuable insights at every step of the journey from drop-off to delivery.

Stage 1:

Pre‑mailing

When you submit an upcoming mailing, you’ll include an Intelligent Mail® Barcode(IMb®), which includes the Service Type Identifier (STID), Mailer Identifier (MID), and delivery point ZIP Code area. This barcode is the key to tracking insights to where and when your mail is delivered.

Informed Visibility® in action

The data provided by the Informed Visibility feature can help you do more in many different political campaign scenarios.

Use Case 1:

Resource preparation

You’re running a phone-a-thon fundraiser and decide to spread awareness through a high-volume direct mail campaign across multiple ZIP Codes™ areas. You expect call center volume to increase significantly once your mail is delivered, so you use the Informed Visibility feature to plan when you’ll need additional resources. You staff your campaign resources accordingly to handle the response and answer more calls, increasing the number of donations.
